Oluwaseun Ayansola graduated top of his class with a first class in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, receiving numerous awards.
Oluwaseun is a corporate law and finance enthusiast who has gained work experience from some of the world’s most reputable brands including KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). He has also gained work experience from leading institutions in Nigeria including the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), Olaniwun Ajayi LP and Aluko & Oyebode.
While in the university, He served as the 2nd substantive President and pioneer Director of Programmes, the International Law Student Association (ILSA). Oluwaseun also represented Nigeria at the 4th Edition of the Herbert Smith Freehills International Negotiation Competition (INC) at New Delhi, India where he led his team to an outstanding debut performance and grabbed the Spirit of the Competition Award. He was also invited to attend International Law Weekend organized by the American Branch of International Law Association in New York, U.S.A as the only delegate from Nigeria in October, 2017.
Oluwaseun enjoys mentoring and volunteering in his spare time.
Jessica Akinboyewa is currently studying an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University London. She also serves as the Legal Coordinator for Barbri International, the largest U.S. Bar Review and Legal Education Company in the world providing foreign-trained lawyers with the expertise and assistance required to qualify as Attorneys in the U.S or Solicitors in England and Wales. Jessica is also the Chair of Senior Editors at the Network for International Law Students and an E-Mentor for Princes Trust.
Jessica bagged her Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Brighton. As an undergraduate, she served as President, University of Brighton Law Society in 2017/2018. Under her leadership the society was awarded the First Outstanding Society in history of the university as well as society of the year.
She has also obtained vital legal experience from Marshalling two honourable judges including interning Brighton and Hove City Council and at various reputable chambers in the United Kingdom. In August 2016, she further worked as a Business Manager for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts.
Asides her work experience and extracurricular activities, Jessica has received numerous awards and recognitions, including but not limited to: the Burt Carden Prize for Best Student in Equity and Trust; Member, Honourable Society of the Inner Temple; Scholar, SEO London etc. Jessica’s aim is to use her knowledge of the Legal and Business sector to assist students and graduates to become more commercially aware including providing knowledge on career prospects predominantly across Africa and then globally.
Precious Oladokun is a fifth year student of Law at Babcock University. She is a quintessential young lady with a broad understanding of a variety of subjects not limited to Law, her current field of study at the University.
She is a Senior Advocate of Babcock and is a facilitator at the moot and Mock society of her institution and Legal Magnates International which commenced operation in 2003. Precious has worked at many Law Firms within a space of two years, Olaniwun Ajayi LP being the foremost.
She is motivated by results, and is as effective as can be in any cause she she believes in, Commercially Aware being the top of her engagement chart presently. She currently handles human resource, social media relations etc at Commercially Aware.
Nnamdi is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto specializing in Finance and Economics under the commerce stream. His interests include music, football, tennis and investments. Nnamdi has previously worked at First Merchant Bank and KPMG under their summer programs. He aspires for a career in either investment banking or consulting. Inside his school, Nnamdi can be found engaging in a program-centric sales group started up with his assistance and is currently working with the likes of Google, TD, IBM and Fidelity Investments.
Samuel Chukwuemeka Korie
Samuel Chukwuemeka Korie is a final year student of the Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He currently serves as the President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society in his institution. He also works as Head of Content for the Career Advancement Program— a team, working primarily to create value and events that ensure that students can ease into the corporate world seamlessly.
Prior to the above role, he worked as the Publicity Head of the ADR Society’s “Arbitration in Contemporary Nigeria” an event facilitated by top tier arbitration firms in Nigeria in conjunction with the Society.
Up until February 2018, he was the General Secretary of The Tax Club, Obafemi Awolowo University. Due to effective management, the Club was recognised in 2018 as “the Organisation of the Year” by the Faculty’s Law Students’ Society.
He is passionate about negotiation in ADR, and is intent on pursuing a career in deal advisory (mergers & acquisitions) as market trends have consistently piqued his interest. Outside his primary interests, he finds private wealth, decommissioning and competition law intriguing.
Avwerosuoghene Great Oyiki
Avwerosuoghene Great Oyiki is an astute and driven member of the Commercially Aware Team. His thirst for knowledge and drive for excellence mold his attitude which is geared towards providing bespoke services.
He is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University. While in school he was the Secretary General of the International Law Student Association. He was part of the team that represented Nigeria at the 4th Herbert Smith Freehills International Negotiation Competition. He graduated top of his class in his secondary school, carting away with many awards.
Great possesses exceptional research skill. His ability to strategically think and analyse information sets him out as an outstanding analyst. As an undergraduate, he won the best student Essay Award by the International Law Student Association (ILSA). He has interest in corporate law, investment banking, capital markets and business advisory.
Great has previously gained considerable work experience from the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), Banwo & Ighodalo, Ikeyi & Arifayan, Aluko & Oyebode, Templars and Africa Finance Corporation.
Victoria Ahiamadu is a first class graduate of Economics from Covenant University, Nigeria where she focused her coursework in Econometrics, Business Finance, Advanced Macroeconomics, Banking and Finance among others.
Victoria’s excellence dates back to secondary school at Faith Academy. She passed West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with 9 Distinctions. This outstanding performance earned her the award of Overall Best Graduating Student and best commercial student for 2013/2014 set. While still at secondary school, she represented the school at the 2013 International Youth Conference on Commerce and Economics (IYCCE) in India.
Victoria recently completed her internship with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Summer Analyst with the Global Markets division of the bank. Prior to BAML, she was a two-term summer intern in the Deal Advisory Unit of KPMG Nigeria. As an undergraduate intern at KPMG Nigeria, she led a 10-man team of interns that performed a high level due diligence on a manufacturing company.
Victoria has several awards and achievements to her name including: winner, First CFA Equity Research Challenge in February, 2018; Scholar, the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship Award in 2018; Second Overall Best and Best in Economics in the Accounting Technician Scheme West Africa Examinations; Nigerian Economics Students Association (NESA) Special Imprint Award April, 2017
In her spare time Victoria enjoys radio freelancing, handball, public speaking and travelling.
Abdullahi Mukhtar is a budding professional currently completing his undergraduate studies in economics with mathematics at Eastern Mediterranean University, Northern Cyprus. His work experience has involved corporate finance advisory, investment management, strategy consulting and start-up management with leading firms including KPMG and ARM Investment Managers. A passionate believer in the power of youth to inspire global change, Abdullahi is actively involved with AIESEC, one of the world’s largest youth organizations, where he helps connect young people with internship, entrepreneurship and volunteering opportunities across the world. Abdullahi has received multiple awards in recognition of his academic excellence; won the inter-world debate held in Cyprus in 2018 and was named The Most Striking Personality in the 2018 cohort of ARM Investment Managers’ Young Talent Programme.
Idris Edalere is a libertarian and researcher and a law graduate from Lagos State Universiy, Nigeria.
Over the past three years, he has clinically upgraded his legal research skills and has both published and unpublished legal articles to his credit. He has represented Lagos State University in array of Moot Court Competitions both nationally and internationally.
He also has passion for volunteering. As a volunteer, he received the Vice-Chancellor’s certificate of recommendation for outstanding non-profit work at Lagos State University.
He enjoys playing basketball and cooking at my leisure times.
Tijani. T. T is a Fifth year student of law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He is a public speaker, an avid writer and a language enthusiast. He is a constantly inquisitive youth who channels his endeavours based on the belief of the fact that evolution is one of the most vital concepts of human development. In consonance with his rare form of brilliance, Tijani has represented his faculty in more than 20 competitions nationally and internationally, acquiring a good number of accolades in the process.
He is currently the President of the best Student Chambers in his faculty, The Liberation Chambers, under the platform of which he is the convener of the first ever Youth Energy Summit in any Nigerian University, an initiative built upon addressing vital issues plaguing the energy sector, and the role of the youths in securing its environmental and economic concerns.
His career interests are Energy and International Diplomacy, both of which require perpetual commercial awareness for considerable success and development.
Lotachukwu Joshua Udenta
Lota is a third year Law Student at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
He is the Assistant Director of Litigation of Zebra Students Chambers as well as the Director of Media and Publicity of The Tax Club UNN. He also doubles as the Face of the University of Nigeria Students Bar Association.
In 2018, he clinched the “Most Promising Law Student” of the Year, an award given to individuals who have distinguished themselves in character, charisma and leadership as well as made remarkable impacts in the Association.
Lotachukwu is a passionate individual with a strong desire for creation and sustenance of value through platforms.
John Oyadougha is a first class senior studying towards a degree in Finance at the University of Lagos. John is passionate about finance and investment and co-founded The Investment Society.
John has over the last two years of the society’s existence served in different positions from VP Operations, Head of Securities, Head of Investment Banking, Head of Consulting and Co-Coordinator of the Research Division.
Earlier this year, he did a wealth management internship at Afrinvest West Africa, participated in the Talent Mine Open Refinery Finance Training program and participated in several other Finance and Investment trainings including Investment Research Training at Asset and Resource Management Company (ARM) And the DLA Piper M&A Academy. John is also a 2018 Scholar at the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF).
John hopes to pursue elite career in investment banking in a top global investment bank.
In his spare time, John loves swimming as well as volunteering with top United Nations Agencies and other Non Governmental Organizations working on human right and development issues.
Aliyah Busari is a second-year undergraduate student of Law at Durham University, UK. Although she is pursuing a career in corporate finance law, her interests spread over an array of industries; she has undergone internships in top Nigerian institutions involved in the legal, financial and petroleum sectors including Olaniwun Ajayi LP, Rand Merchant Bank and Delta Afrik Engineering Ltd.
In secondary school, Aliyah graduated as Valedictorian of her class, and received the internationally acclaimed COBIS Student Achievement Award which recognises “outstanding individual achievement and contribution to an aspect of school or community life”.
In university, her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to establish the Durham Dance Fitness club, and campaign for the inclusion of the ‘Women in Law’ program under the Pro-Bono Law Society, both of which have been approved for commencement in the coming academic year.
Her interests include reading, table tennis, dancing and art.
Kwasi Gyamfi Boadu
Kwasi Gyamfi Boadu is an undergraduate of Law at the University of Ghana. He is currently the Publicity Committee Head for University of Ghana, Law School. He was part of the organizing team for the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition which was hosted by the University of Ghana this year.
Kwasi has interned with Asomah Cheremah and Co Chambers where he gathered practical commercial awareness skills and work experience. His interests include contemporary art, technology, business and fashion.
